Angra (Discografía)

Biografía

Angra es un grupo brasileño de metal progresivo y power metal. Está influenciada por bandas como Iron Maiden y Helloween. La formación inicial de Angra se remonta a 1992 y está compuesta por Andre Matos a las voces y teclado, Andre Hernandes en la guitarra, Rafael Bittencourt en la guitarra, Luis Mariutti al bajo y Marco Antunes a la batería. Influenciada por el melodic/heavy metal clásico de grupos como Helloween o Stratovarius el estilo de Angra continúa en la línea de las guitarras rápidas con altísimos componentes de carácter melódico y voces agudas al estilo de Michael Kiske o Bruce Dickinson. El año 1992 publican su primer demo, Reaching Horizons donde, amén de las influencias ya mencionadas, se incluyen melodías étnicas y algo de Metal Progresivo.
